It was only a brief rest after my journey from Manaus before I was into the forest with my guide for the week, Anthony.
There are paths through the forest but fallen trees require frequent detours and it would be easy to get lost.
There are numerous creeks that feed into the Urubu river. The colour of the water is due to tannins ( and possible iron ).
