Española
is the most southerly of the islands we visited. It has a wide
variety of sea birds and brightly coloured marine iguanas. Some
species of animals are endemic to Española such as the
waved albatross, the Hood mocking bird and the Española
lava lizard.
Gardner Bay
is simply a beach area
with numerous sea-lions, brown pelicans and oyster catchers. The
sandy beach was ideal for a session of swimming.
Punta Suarez
is now a dry landing
with a welcoming party of sea-lions and marine iguanas.
